Vietnam Visa Requirements for Citizens of Austria

Austria Passport holders who wish to enter Vietnam are required to apply for Vietnam Visa in the following suggested ways:
1. Apply for Vietnam Visa online (which is 20% cheaper than the traditional way)
- Apply for Vietnam Visa on arrival (Visa to pick up at Vietnam airport) or Vietnam Visa code (visa to pick up at Vietnam Embassy/ Consulate) here
- Receive the Vietnam Visa approval letter/code after 1 or 2 working days
- Print the approval letter/code to stamp Vietnam visa at Vietnam Visa airports or Vietnam Visa Embassies/Consulates.
In general, this way is time- saving, convenient, comparatively cheap. For air travelers, we strongly recommend visa on arrival as you need not spend time at Vietnam Embassy, just apply online and print the approval by Vietnam Immigration to stamp Visa on arrival at Vietnam airport.

2. Apply Vietnam Visa at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate
The requirements of applying Vietnam Visa at Vietnam Embassy are not fixed, it varies from Embassy to Embassy. You need to contact with Vietnam Embassy beforehand and going in person there to arrange your visa. The waiting time for visa processing is averagely from 3 to 5 days, in some countries it may take a whole week to finish the whole Vietnam Visa process.
