  • Dear Sir/Madam,Thanks for your question!According to Vietnam immigration policy, foreigners wishing to stay longer in Vietnam without exiting while their Vietnam visa is going to expire should extend their Vietnam visa. Therefore, if your friend wants to stay loger in Vietnam, he should extend his current visa. Normally, Japanese can extend their current visa two or three times. In your friend’s case, he is advised to scan his passport containing Vietnam visa page and send to our email address support@visaforvietnamvisa.org. We will check and give him the best advice and further next step if his Vietnam visa can be extended more. In case he can exit Vietnam by any chance, applying for a new Vietnam visa especially Vietnam visa on arrival is the best way. Procedure to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival is introduced belowSubmit visa application at https://www.visaforvietnam.org/apply.html Make payment for visa approval fee which ranges from USD 20/person to USD 40/person Receive visa approval letter granted by Vietnam immigration Department Print the letter and bring to Vietnam airport to stamp Vietnam visa onto passport We hope that the above information is clear for you, please contact us if you need further information and assistance. Jenifer Lee.
